Does anyone here know CSO‘s policies regarding internal auditions? If internal means within the section, then is Miles the only person who took the audition? Unless the principal or assistant principal wanted to move to second...
Some people here seem to assume all inquiries come from a place of jealousy or bitterness, so I‘ll just say I think Miles is amazing. That is not the issue.
From what I have been told, whenever a position opens “above” your current position, there is the option for an internal audition before the international (public) one.
That's impossible!!!!! I thought he would stay on Contrabassoon and bassoon and one of those days eventually retire as bassoon and contrabassoon

that’s a shame, I would have liked a chance at that job, as would most bassoonists
