Vlad Petrachev and Jack Grimm have been offered trial weeks with the orchestra this fall.
Bit of an update here: Jack Grimm won his trial and was principal for about a year. Now that he's with Philly, the orchestra has appointed Vlad Petrachev as principal. Congrats to these two stellar players.
