I’m told this no-hire comes after the last audition for this position (in early 2022) also resulted in a no-hire 😬

3 finalists. This is the first time all the rounds were held behind a screen for this orchestra. And there‘s a new clause that a finalist needs to receive 5 out of 8 votes in order to be eligible for hiring discussion. Unfortunately, none of the finalists received enough votes.
