Finalists

I see a lot of posts/comments here that will name the finalists in addition to naming the winner (or in the case of a no-hire). I can’t help but think a non-insignificant portion of these finalists would rather not be named on a public forum, for any number of reasons.

Our policy right now (afaik) is that we will remove posts/comments that name finalists before the finals themselves. I'd be open to doing the same for ones that do it after the audition is over but idk if that is set in stone right now.

It is correct that posts that name candidates for an audition process that is still in progress should be flagged immediately, and will be taken down. We ask all forum members to refrain from compromising the confidentiality of any audition that is not yet completed.

As others have already stated in this thread, the names of the finalists, trialists, runners-up, and winner are not necessarily private information. The site admins have no plans to begin removing posts that share this info, after an audition has concluded. Our intention is to operate a free and open forum and interfere only when the conversation breaches our guidelines. We encourage anyone sharing information to obtain consent from the individuals being named before sharing their names in these forums.

If you see your name appear in a post and would like for it to be removed, please send a DM to an admin or send a DM to the Audition Forum Instagram page. Our team occasionally receives these requests and always acts to remove the names as quickly as we can, as a courtesy to those affected.
