I see that Chicago just posted an audition for Principal Horn. I know they hired David Cooper for that role a few years back. Does anyone know whats going on there? Did David not get tenure?

Unfortunately, David Cooper did not get tenure in Chicago Symphony.
Mark Almond received tenure recently.
Weren't finals a couple days ago? Anyone know the result?
I have been told that he didn’t get tenure in Chicago. His name popped up in a thread recently involving the Boston Symphony Principal Horn position, but I don’t believe that process has concluded yet.
