"Shameful" feels a bit harsh given the discussion of this thread. I wasn't implying anything negative toward Conrad. In fact, I agree wholeheartedly! Fantastic person, player, and colleague. However, the subject of this thread IMHO is centered on the sometimes veiled process or mishandling of one-year auditions or appointments.

Which is worse? Indy holding a last minute audition for a one-year or Pittsburgh just giving one to Conrad without one? Tie for first?
