The trial weeks are still upcoming. I believe they are playing a trial week or two in May.

I believe that trial week is planned to be Feb 27 - Mar 1 - best of luck to the remaining candidate!!

I’m told the other orchestra round finalists included Will Leathers (principal in Nashville) and Christopher Hart (principal in Royal Scottish National)

The orchestra round will take place on Jan 21st.

Cristina Cutts was offered the position, and Bridget Conley was runner-up. Not sure if it was just those two? HUGE CONGRATS TO CRISTINA!!

Sadly, it was not. I imagine the fact that they haven’t chosen a principal trumpet yet makes settling on a 4th trumpet very difficult for them…

Yeah, only the preliminary round has happened. The semis and finals are on June 17th, 2024.

1. This stuff isn’t a secret, people will find out eventually if they want to. 2. Better to have results be public and prevent false information from spreading (99% of the actual audition results shared here are correct) and since the conversation is public people have been able to correct wrong information as soon it is identified. Idk. Just doesn’t seem like a bad thing to me.

Yes, thank you… if an Internet forum happened to de-anonymize a candidate in the middle of the process could actually even cause contract issues if that person happened to win and a committee member knew they were behind the screen because of the forum. Best practice is to not comment on process as they occur regardless whether the screen is still up or not.

The second audition for principal horn in Detroit was also a no hire.
